They've Become Great Friends Too
VFW Post 814 - Creve Couer

Founded in 1921, Post 814 out of Creve Couer, Illinois is one of the oldest VFW posts in Illinois. As Bob Derrick, Post 814 Quartermaster states, "This is an older post, founded in 1921. A lot of our members are veterans from the Korean War and WWII. Not only are they VFW members, they're all great friends too."
Unfortunately, many of these members have experienced the passing of their spouse, leaving a huge void in their lives. To help continue getting these senior veterans out and about, Post 814 hosts a complimentary Coffee & Donuts day every Wednesday morning. Not only is this a great opportunity to keep these veterans active and social, it's also a way for them to discuss ways to continue serving the needs of other veterans and the needs of the greater Peoria community.
