VFW Post 755 - Springfield

Post 755 out of Springfield, Illinois has built a great reputation for making wheelchair ramps for members in need. In late 2009, an older gentleman who was not a veteran, nor a member of Post 755 was making repairs to a tv antenna attached to his roof. A terrible accident occurred where he fell off the roof and was paralyzed from the waist down.
A few months passed after the accident and with limited resources available, this man could find nobody to assist him with building a wheelchair ramp. He called VFW Post 755 based on the recommendation of a friend, asked for help and the members of Post 755 responded as if he were one of their own. As Dave Crouch, Post Commander stated, "The Post purchased the materials using funds we normally use to help our members and volunteers built the ramp free of charge because he's a member of our community and it's the right thing to do."
Please donate to the VFW today. It's the right thing to do.
